Brakes
Obviously if you are going to be going faster, stopping quicker is particularly important. Quite a few of the standard Volkswagen group components are interchangeable, with the only limiting factors being the PCD of the hubs and ultimately if they fit behind your wheels!
Corrado
4 Stud
5 Stud
Corrado rear calipers are notoriously susceptible to seizing, so a good fix for this is to replace them with Mk4 Golf GTI rear calipers. They are make from aluminium, so firstly they are not going to rust, but also they are lighter. They require different rear brake lines as they use banjo style fittings, but Goodrich do braided items that do the job nicely. I found C&R Enterprises was the best place to get these from.
Golf
Mk1
Mk2
As the Corrado shares the same rear brakes the Mk2 Golf also suffers from the seizing issue.
