Crankcase Pressure
The factory 16v already produces a decent amount of crankcase pressure, and adding a turbo certainly doesn't help matters. Increased crankcase pressure won't allow the oil return to drain properly, and can lead to premature turbo failure especially on turbos with poor quality control. It's possible to use a new VW Beetle breather style oil cap or to tap the rocker cover by the cam chain. This will allow venting of both the valve cover, and the factory block breather. I would not run the breather back into the turbo intake tract, because oil vapour lowers the effective octane rating. A catch tanks work pretty well, and you can keep an eye on the amount of blow by you have.
Separate oil pump
To avoid further issues with oil starvation through the turbo, an auxiliary oil pump can be used for a separate oil feed to the turbo. This can be combined with a turbo timer/alarm with timed output, to allow oil run on after engine switch off.
Alternator/water pump/power-steering/pulleys
Depending on the base engine, the following options are available
